An official Census 2011 detail of Morena, a district of Madhya Pradesh has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Madhya Pradesh. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Morena District of Madhya Pradesh.

In 2011, Morena had population of 1,965,970 of which male and female were 1,068,417 and 897,553 respectively. In 2001 census, Morena had a population of 1,592,714 of which males were 874,089 and remaining 718,625 were females. Morena District population constituted 2.71 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Morena District was at 2.64 percent of Maharashtra population.

There was change of 23.44 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, Morena District recorded increase of 24.50 percent to its population compared to 1991.
