South Andaman District - Population 2011-2024

An official Census 2011 detail of South Andaman, a district of Andaman and Nicobar Islands has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in South Andaman District of Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

In 2011, South Andaman had population of 238,142 of which male and female were 127,283 and 110,859 respectively. In 2001 census, South Andaman had a population of 208,471 of which males were 114,262 and remaining 94,209 were females. South Andaman District population constituted 62.57 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for South Andaman District was at 85.96 percent of Maharashtra population.

There was change of 14.23 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, South Andaman District recorded increase of 28.07 percent to its population compared to 1991.
