An official Census 2011 detail of Alwar, a district of Rajasthan has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Rajasthan. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Alwar District of Rajasthan.

In 2011, Alwar had population of 3,674,179 of which male and female were 1,939,026 and 1,735,153 respectively. In 2001 census, Alwar had a population of 2,992,592 of which males were 1,586,752 and remaining 1,405,840 were females. Alwar District population constituted 5.36 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Alwar District was at 5.30 percent of Maharashtra population.

There was change of 22.78 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, Alwar District recorded increase of 27.22 percent to its population compared to 1991.
