An official Census 2011 detail of Siwan, a district of Bihar has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Bihar. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Siwan District of Bihar.

In 2011, Siwan had population of 3,330,464 of which male and female were 1,675,090 and 1,655,374 respectively. In 2001 census, Siwan had a population of 2,714,349 of which males were 1,336,283 and remaining 1,378,066 were females. Siwan District population constituted 3.20 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Siwan District was at 3.27 percent of Maharashtra population.

There was change of 22.70 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, Siwan District recorded increase of 24.78 percent to its population compared to 1991.


Siwan Literacy Rate

Average literacy rate of Siwan in 2011 were 69.45 compared to 69.45 of 2001. If things are looked out at gender wise, male and female literacy were 80.23 and 58.66 respectively. Siwan Child Population
