Surat : Census 2011
In 2011, Surat had population of 6,079,231 of which male and female were 3,399,742 and 2,679,489 respectively. There was change of 42.19 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In census enumeration, data regarding child under 0-6 age were also collected for all districts including Surat. There were total 710,805 children under age of 0-6 against 600,664 of 2001 census. Of total 710,805 male and female were 387,131 and 323,674 respectively. Child Sex Ratio as per census 2011 was 836 compared to 859 of census 2001.
