YSR (Kadapa) District - Population 2011-2024

An official Census 2011 detail of YSR (Kadapa), a district of Andhra Pradesh has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in Andhra Pradesh. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in YSR District of Andhra Pradesh.

In 2011, YSR had population of 2,882,469 of which male and female were 1,451,777 and 1,430,692 respectively. In 2001 census, YSR had a population of 2,601,797 of which males were 1,318,093 and remaining 1,283,704 were females. YSR District population constituted 3.41 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for YSR District was at 3.41 percent of Maharashtra population.

There was change of 10.79 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, YSR District recorded increase of 14.78 percent to its population compared to 1991.


YSR Literacy Rate

Average literacy rate of YSR in 2011 were 67.30 compared to 67.30 of 2001. If things are looked out at gender wise, male and female literacy were 77.78 and 56.77 respectively. For 2001 census, same figures stood at 75.83 and 49.54 in YSR District. Total literate in YSR District were 1,716,766 of which male and female were 994,699 and 722,067 respectively. In 2001, YSR District had 1,420,752 in its district.


YSR Sex Ratio

With regards to Sex Ratio in YSR, it stood at 985 per 1000 male compared to 2001 census figure of 974. The average national sex ratio in India is 940 as per latest reports of Census 2011 Directorate. In 2011 census, child sex ratio is 918 girls per 1000 boys compared to figure of 951 girls per 1000 boys of 2001 census data.

YSR Child Population

In census enumeration, data regarding child under 0-6 age were also collected for all districts including YSR. There were total 331,586 children under age of 0-6 against 340,663 of 2001 census. Of total 331,586 male and female were 172,902 and 158,684 respectively. Child Sex Ratio as per census 2011 was 918 compared to 951 of census 2001. In 2011, Children under 0-6 formed 11.50 percent of YSR District compared to 13.09 percent of 2001. There was net change of -1.59 percent in this compared to previous census of India.

Out of the total YSR population for 2011 census, 33.97 percent lives in urban regions of district. In total 979,132 people lives in urban areas of which males are 492,084 and females are 487,048. Sex Ratio in urban region of YSR district is 990 as per 2011 census data. Similarly child sex ratio in YSR district was 918 in 2011 census. Child population (0-6) in urban region was 110,447 of which males and females were 57,597 and 52,850. This child population figure of YSR district is 11.70 % of total urban population. Average literacy rate in YSR district as per census 2011 is 75.33 % of which males and females are 83.72 % and 66.94 % literates respectively. In actual number 654,410 people are literate in urban region of which males and females are 363,759 and 290,651 respectively.

Literacy rate in rural areas of YSR district is 63.15 % as per census data 2011. Gender wise, male and female literacy stood at 74.72 and 51.49 percent respectively. In total, 1,062,356 people were literate of which males and females were 630,940 and 431,416 respectively.
