In 2001 census, Nadia had a population of 4,604,827 of which males were 2,366,853 and remaining 2,237,974 were females. Nadia District population constituted 5.66 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Nadia District was at 5.74 percent of Maharashtra population.
