Nadia District - Population 2011-2024

An official Census 2011 detail of Nadia, a district of West Bengal has been released by Directorate of Census Operations in West Bengal. Enumeration of key persons was also done by census officials in Nadia District of West Bengal.

In 2011, Nadia had population of 5,167,600 of which male and female were 2,653,768 and 2,513,832 respectively. In 2001 census, Nadia had a population of 4,604,827 of which males were 2,366,853 and remaining 2,237,974 were females. Nadia District population constituted 5.66 percent of total Maharashtra population. In 2001 census, this figure for Nadia District was at 5.74 percent of Maharashtra population.

There was change of 12.22 percent in the population compared to population as per 2001. In the previous census of India 2001, Nadia District recorded increase of 19.54 percent to its population compared to 1991.


Nadia Literacy Rate

Average literacy rate of Nadia in 2011 were 74.97 compared to 74.97 of 2001. If things are looked out at gender wise, male and female literacy were 78.75 and 70.98 respectively. Nadia Child Population

In census enumeration, data regarding child under 0-6 age were also collected for all districts including Nadia. There were total 525,180 children under age of 0-6 against 606,395 of 2001 census.
